The Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemicals Company Limited will be operational by the end of 2024, according to Heineken Lokpobiri, Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil).
He disclosed this information while giving a tour of the refinery for inspection and he he seemed optimistic about the company’s ability to recover.
Lokpobiri promised the federal government’s assistance for the project’s prompt completion and to keep important participants in the rehabilitation process accountable.
He underlined how critical it is to restart the refinery as soon as possible for the country’s economic growth and energy security, both of which are essential for sustainable development.
The Minister was informed by Group Chief Executive Officer Mele Kyari that the refinery’s fuel plant would be delivered by the end of 2024 and that all efforts are being made to restart the refinery.
The required equipment is already there, and the contractor has mobilized to the site.
Kaduna refinery will be ready come end of the year 2024.
