President Bola Tinubu and the new service chiefs will find a solution to the string of attacks and killings in the state, according to Senator Diket Plang, who represents Plateau Central in the National Assembly.

Senator Plang gave the assurance on Thursday while speaking with journalists in Jos about the unpleasant events in his constituency. Senator Plang had just arrived in Plateau state for the first time following the inauguration in Abuja.

According to The PUNCH, there have been frequent attacks by gunmen over the past three months, particularly in the Mangu LGA and other areas of Plateau state’s central zone.

250 people had perished as a result of the attacks, and millions of naira’s worth of property had been lost.

The senator who denounced the killings and property damage in his district noted that the crisis there was growing and that it couldn’t be allowed to go on.

The senator who denounced the killings and property damage in his district noted that the crisis there was growing and that it couldn’t be allowed to go on.

“The situation in Mangu, which used to be the most tranquil LGA in Plateau state, is unacceptable,” he declared. Numerous people have died, and their homes have been destroyed. Unfortunately, the crisis in the Central Plateau is getting worse and has reached Mangu. I have no doubt that the tragedy that occurred in the affected LGAs has saddened the Plateau people as well as all of Nigeria. We need to resolve the current predicament.

“I’m grateful because, during our inauguration, we spent time with Mr. President (Bola Tinubu), who spoke to us about the situation in Mangu and informed us that the state governor, His Excellency, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, met with him to discuss the issues in detail. I’m also happy because Mr. President has expressed concern about security because he thinks he won’t be able to work if there isn’t peace in our nation. I think that by reorganizing the security leadership in the nation and appointing new service chiefs, he will be able to address the issues in my constituency.

The senator pleaded with the populace to support President Bola Tinubu’s new administration as much as possible.

“If the previous administration’s efforts have failed, there must be another way to handle the security issues in the state because it is long overdue,” the speaker said.

Senator Plang promised not to let the people down and would keep fighting for their needs and interests. He also thanked the people for letting him serve as their representative in the National Assembly.
