Maddy Cusack, a football player for Sheffield United who passed away at the age of 27, has received condolences.
Cusack, who has been a member of the team since 2019, became the first player to play 100 times for Sheffield United Women last year.
Sheffield United stated in a statement that she also served as a marketing executive for the football team.
Paying respect, the club’s CEO, Stephen Bettis, expressed how “sadly missed” she would be.

Maddy Cusack was well-liked by everyone she interacted with and enjoyed the unique position of being a part of several teams at Sheffield United.
“She was a credit to her family because of her personality and expertise, she will sorely missed.
The club said that it would provide Maddy’s family, friends and coworkers with much assistance as it can while absorbing the news and moving forward.
