The legendary “Margaritaville” singer and businessman Jimmy Buffett has died at the age of 76.

He was born on Christmas Day in Pascagoula, Mississipi, and then went to Key West, Florida, where he discovered his voice.

He was also raised in Mobile, Alabama.

From his 1974 album “Living and Dying in 34 Time,” “Come Monday” was his first song to gain popularity.

Buffett later claimed that this song prevented him from committing suicide in a Howard Johnson’s in Marin County.

Forbes assessed his net worth to be $1 billion.

Jimmy Buffett won two Country Music Association honours through out his career and was elected into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2006.

He received two Grammy Award nominations.

A rare blunder occurred with 2018 Broadway production of “Escape to Margaritaville,” which was based on his most well-known songs.

The New York Times review pointed out that how Buffet’s image as a lazy contrasts with his incredible achievement.

Before his Jimmy Buffet death, he was gearing up to release a new album, with songs getting weekly sneak peek on Radio Margaritaville.

He leaves behind his wife, Jane Slagsvol, and three children in addition to a song he was working on called “My Gummy Just Kicked In.”

Jimmy Buffett passed away while being surrounded by family, friends, dogs and music.
