La Liga side, Real Madrid has surpassed the current English Premier League Champions, Manchester City to become the world’s greatest income generating football club for the 2022-2023 season, according to a report by Deliotte’s Sports Business Group.
The top income-generating football teams worldwide in the 2022-2023 season brought in a record €10.5 billion according to the Deliotte Football Money League.
Real Madrid was last at the top of the ranking five years ago, thus this is 14% improvement from the previous year.
Manchester United, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain, are the top five football clubs.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all in the top ten, while European teams like PSG and Barca are catching up to the Premier League.
Liverpool’s decline in both domestic and European competitions caused them to drop from third to seventh place.
The current Serie A Champions, Napoli, sit below Newcastle United and West Ham United who are ranked 17th and 18th respectively.
