According to the Lagos State Police Command, an investigation has been launched to find those responsible for the murder of a naval rating on Sunday in the state’s Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area.

In a Monday interview with our correspondent, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police public relations officer, urged the locals to go about their daily lives fearlessly and added that a joint operation between the Lagos State Police Command and the Nigerian Navy had started to find the suspects.
We have launched an investigation, but no arrests have been made as of yet, said Hundeyin. The naval authorities are informed, and we are collaborating to determine what exactly happened before the shooting.
